Phuket's rental market runs on a high season and a low season — and knowing the rhythm saves you real money.
High season (November – April)
The island is at its best — dry, blue skies, calm seas — and rental demand peaks. Prices are highest and the best villas are taken early. Book two to three months ahead if you need a specific property for high season.
Low season (May – October)
Green, quiet and warm. Many owners offer significant discounts — often 20–40% — and longer-term rates become negotiable. If you're flexible, this is the best-value window on the island.
Long-stay rates
Whatever the season, a 6–12 month commitment typically unlocks a much better monthly rate than a holiday booking. Owners would rather have a reliable long-term tenant than chase peak-season bookings.
